Property | Re-mortgages
Remortgaging a property is where the owner changes from one lender to another, paying off the old mortgage from the proceeds of the new one. The purpose of this is usually to take advantage of a more favourable mortgage product and/or to raise capital to fund home improvements or repay unsecured debts. When you receive your mortgage offer we shall submit all necessary searches, liaise with your existing lender, provide you with a report explaining the terms of the new mortgage offer and the legal charge document, obtain the mortgage funds, redeem your old mortgage, account to you for the balance of the funds and register the change of mortgage at the Land Registry. We will provide you with a straightforward and stress-free service throughout the process. Being holders of the Conveyancing Quality accreditation, we are on the panels of all major lenders so in the vast majority of cases there is no need to involve another solicitor. We provide this service for a highly competitive fixed fee and at the outset we shall confirm all costs and disbursements so you are able to budget effectively.
